t someone can say they have stayed at a company for 10 years. 20 years is almost unheard of. But 35? That’s an accomplishment that speaks to both the company and the employee. It makes us incredibly proud to congratulate Mark Griffin, Service Technician at our Pembroke branch, for 35 years of dedicated service. We asked Ed McGonagle, manager at the Pembroke branch what he thought of Mark and his 35-year anniversary. He had a lot of good things to say!
“When I think of Mark, the words personable, hard-working, energetic, and endearing immediately come to mind. Mark leaves a lasting impression on his customers and his coworkers, not just in the exceptional quality of his work, but in the relationships, he quickly builds with everyone he interacts with. Mark is quick to ask, “how are the kids,” or “how was that vacation to Maine,” often recalling in great detail the conversations he has had with his customers and co-workers alike. An avid musician, cyclist, and dedicated father, Mark’s energy level doesn’t stop at the end of his workday. Mark often tells our office the stories of cycling through downtown Boston with his son, or the family hiking trips to Maine and New Hampshire. Mark said just yesterday, “Here’s to 35 more,” and believe me when I say we’ll do everything we can to hold him to it!”
Mark was given a service award and even a 35 made from cupcakes! He deserves all the cupcakes, and we not only congratulate him on his distinguished 35-year career, but we thank him for being a dedicated and important member of the Waltham team. As Ed said above, here’s to another 35!
